Washington, D.C. – In a significant move to enhance affordable housing in the District, the District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency (DCHFA) has successfully financed two new developments, concluding the year on a high note. The projects, Benning Road Metro Apartments (BRMA) and Hillsdale Flats, will collectively add 199 affordable housing units across Wards 7 and 8.
Benning Road Metro Apartments, located in the Benning neighborhood of Northeast Washington, will provide 109 new units, catering to the growing demand for affordable living spaces in the area. Meanwhile, Hillsdale Flats will contribute an additional 90 units in Ward 8, furthering efforts to address housing needs in this underserved region.
These developments are part of a broader initiative to promote affordable housing options throughout the District, ensuring that residents have access to quality living environments. DCHFA's commitment to financing such projects underscores the agency's dedication to improving housing accessibility for all citizens.
