The funding round was spearheaded by FlatIronX, a New York-based venture capital firm known for its investments in innovative fintech solutions, particularly those with connections to India. Notable additional investors include Seedstars International Ventures, which is supported by prominent organizations such as the International Finance Corporation, Visa Foundation, The Rockefeller Foundation, and Symbiotics.
Other key contributors to the funding include Ahimsa Capital and several industry leaders, including Bhavesh Gupta, the former President and COO of Paytm, and Ashneer Grover, the ex-Managing Director of BharatPe. The diverse backing highlights the growing interest and confidence in Lorien Finance's mission to enhance access to education financing for students in developing regions.
