MEXICO CITY, July 21, 2025 — Controladora Vuela Compañía de Aviación, S.A.B. de C.V., known as Volaris, has unveiled its financial results for the second quarter of 2025. The ultra-low-cost airline, which operates routes across Mexico, the United States, and parts of Central and South America, reported a net loss of $63 million during this period.
The loss per American Depositary Share (ADS) reflects challenges faced by the airline in the current economic climate. Despite these setbacks, Volaris continues to focus on its operational strategies to navigate through the competitive landscape of the aviation industry.
The company remains committed to enhancing its service offerings and expanding its route network, aiming to improve financial performance in the upcoming quarters. Volaris’s management is optimistic about future recovery and growth as travel demand rebounds and operational efficiencies are optimized. The airline's focus on maintaining its ultra-low-cost model is expected to play a crucial role in its ongoing efforts to return to profitability.
